What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class A CDL Truck Driver position at Stapleton Timber & Excavation Inc?
Job Summary:
Dump Truck Driver’s primary responsible will be driving dump and/ or log trucks, hauling aggregate for project sites, excavation away from work sites, and tilt trailers with equipment. Must be able to load, haul and unload heavy equipment safely and efficiently. We are based out of Springfield, but work throughout Lane County.
Truck Driver Duties:
- Twelve (12) months of driving experience preferred. i.e., transfer, end dump, truck & pup helpful
- Valid Oregon Commercial Driver's License Class “A” (CDL)
- Must have a current medical card
- Must have no significant driver record violations
- Not cited for a D.O.T. defined accident in the previous three (3) years
- No serious offenses in the previous seven (7) years or pattern of unsafe practices
- Pass drug screen test
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Class A CDL w/ clean driving record (Required)
- 1 year dump truck driving experience
- Knowledge of industrial and shop safety rules, procedures, and equipment
- Reliable attendance
- Ability to work independently/ self sufficient
- First Aid and CPR certified a plus
Successful candidate must submit to post offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
