About STAP Industries:
STAP Industries is looking for a skilled Welder with mechanical aptitude and attention to detail to join our team in the aviation space. This is a full-time position in a laid-back, supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements.
- Weld components including carbon steel, aluminum, alloys, and stainless steel.
- Operate and oversee industrial welding machinery.
- Maintain and repair shop machinery.
- Inspect welded surfaces and components for errors.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear.
- Perform welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
Qualifications:
- MIG welding experience required; TIG welding preferred.
- Experience with Shear & Brake Press operation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs.
- Willingness to take a skills test.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Welding certificate preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ welding experience.
- Strong knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Basic woodworking knowledge.
- Ability to operate forklifts and hoists.
- Basic shop maintenance.
