Estimating Manager

Full-Time | Relationship-Driven | Preconstruction Leadership

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Estimating Manager to drive proactive business development and lead the full preconstruction lifecycle. This role is designed for someone who thrives on building genuine client relationships, uncovering opportunities early, and guiding projects from initial concept through contract award. We are looking for a professional who takes initiative, understands the market, and consistently develops new business through reputation, relationships, and a strong advisory approach.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development & Client Relationships

• Identify early-stage project opportunities through active outreach, networking, and market awareness.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, GCs, architects, and key decision-makers.
• Represent the company with professionalism and reliability in all client interactions.

Preconstruction Leadership

• Serve as the single point of contact throughout the entire preconstruction process.
• Lead client discussions on scope, budget, alternatives, and value-driven solutions.
• Ensure clear communication and alignment from early concept through finalized pricing.

Estimating & Proposal Development

• Prepare accurate estimates, budgets, and proposals tailored to client needs.
• Analyze project requirements, drawings, and specifications to develop comprehensive pricing.
• Present pricing with clarity and confidence, reinforcing trust and credibility.

Project Transition

• Manage a smooth, complete handoff to operations once a contract is awarded.
• Support any final clarifications to ensure client expectations are properly aligned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years of experience in sales, estimating, preconstruction, or related construction roles.
• Proven ability to develop new business through proactive outreach and relationship-building.
• Strong technical understanding of estimating principles and construction processes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
• Highly motivated, disciplined, and comfortable operating in an “eat what you kill” environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
• Strong organization and follow-through, managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.
