If that sounds like work you'd be good at, keep reading. If you're looking for a quiet desk job, this one's probably not it. WHAT YOU'LL DOA typical daytime shift (7:30am–3:30pm) moves. You'll open the breakfast room, prep food and bake pastries, interact with guests throughout the morning, inspect rooms before check-in, handle reservations and guest messages, cover lounge food orders on bartender’s days off and during opening hours before 1pm, and keep the common areas clean and welcoming. The job is physical, varied, and social — all day, most of the time. RESPONSIBILITIESWelcome and engage guests from arrival through departurePrepare and serve breakfast each morningBake pastries and baked goods for breakfast, afternoon tea, and the lounge; assist with tea service when scheduledCover lounge food orders (snacks, boards, light bites) during opening hours and on days when the bartender is not scheduledInspect guest rooms before check-in and after housekeepingManage reservations and communicate with guests by phone, text, and email — including outbound calls to guests who haven’t stayed with us beforeCoordinate with the housekeeping and maintenance teams on room readiness and upkeepKeep the breakfast room, front desk, and lounge clean and welcoming throughout your shift WHO YOU AREYou don't need a hospitality degree or a hotel background.
