What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Stanton House Hotel?
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance, and repair of assigned equipment. The individual is also responsible for contributing to the preventative maintenance program, handling requests, and other work orders as assigned. Also responsible for performing the job safely and efficiently, and for trade jobs such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, etc.
Leads the emergency response team for all facility issues.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and operates equipment to ensure optimal effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
- Ensures compliance with all Engineering departmental policies, standards, and procedures.
- Manages department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
- Select and purchase new equipment, supplies, and furnishings upon agreement.
- Supervises the day-to-day operations of Maintenance.
- Maintains accurate logs and records as required.
- Assists in effectively planning, scheduling, and evaluating preventative maintenance programs.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple project priorities simultaneously and function well under pressure.
- Work in a team environment and interact with all levels of the organization.
- Maintains a work order assignment program for completed and pending work orders. Prioritizes and completes work orders in a timely manner. Monitors all deficiencies.
- Inspects guest rooms after preventative maintenance. Reviews any problems with the maintenance staff. Maintains a current inventory of all supplies.
- Supervise maintenance operations for the facility, including but not limited to refrigeration, CPO Certified, heating, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen and laundry equipment, emergency systems, electrical systems, painting and finish work, dry wall, etc.

Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Hospitality Engineering or Facility Management (Preferred).
- Technical training or a degree in a relevant field (for example: electrical, mechanical).
- Possess the ability to read and use blueprints, diagrams, operations manuals, and manufacturers’ specifications.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and reaching.
