Stanton | Barton LLC is a progressive, and technologically forward boutique defense litigation and trial firm serving a regional and national client base in complex product liability litigation (not toxic tort), commercial litigation, medical malpractice and trucking. We are currently seeking a Litigation Associate to join our team.

The Role

The Litigation Associate will work closely with the partners and paralegals to handle a caseload with a focus on product liability and transportation-related defense litigation. These cases often involve accident investigations through litigation and trial. This position offers substantial responsibility and courtroom exposure, including:

• Taking and defending depositions
• Drafting and arguing dispositive motions in state and federal courts
• Managing case strategy and day-to-day litigation activity
• Reporting directly to the clients and collaborating with in-house counsel
• Collaborating directly with partners and clients on complex matters

Qualifications

• Two or more years of civil defense litigation experience with experience taking depositions or appearing in court.
• Licensed to practice in Missouri or Illinois.
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in product liability and transportation litigation.
• Exceptional analytical and legal writing skills.
• Experience with dispositive motion practice in state and federal courts

Pay: $115,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
