Your Opportunity
The Principal brings deep Mechanical Engineering experience and relationships in the A / E industry to contribute to the overall strategic and tactical leadership of the Stantec Mechanical Engineering discipline, supporting the Mechanical Engineering practice in the Pacific Northwest. This position will lead strategic projects, be client facing, responsible for business development, contribute to project delivery standards and work processes, provide quality control, workload forecasting, financial performance accountability and collaboration with other disciplines. The Principal contributes to differentiating Stantec from other competing firms and positions Stantec as innovators in the industry.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership :
Maintain awareness of operational, technical or regulatory changes within Mechanical Engineering and AEC overall, disseminate such knowledge to staff and firm, and integrate into existing processes and standards.
Maintain current knowledge of technologies and trends impacting Stantec's core service offerings and markets and continually strengthens skills.
Develop presentation materials and present to clients and at strategic industry events.
Ensure compliance with best practices, including Stantec PM Frameworks Project Involvement :

This position will report to and be required to work within the Seattle offices five days a week to start for onboarding. Presence in the offices is required a minimum of three days per week after onboarding.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Salary Range(s) :
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Temporary / casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
