Stant is hiring for a Quality Engineer located in the Connersville area.

Quality Engineer Key Functions:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for assuring products conform to quality standards and compliance with internal and external requirements and customer expectations.
• Understand and implement customer specific quality requirements relative to on-going production and new program launches.
• Effectively interface and collaborate daily with manufacturing team members on the production floor.
• Facilitate the preparation of core process documents and PPAP documentation to customers.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Monitor customer portals to improve timely response to customer issues.
• Provide timely solutions to manufacturing issues or customer concerns demonstrating a sense of urgency.
• Continuously review processes and analyze data to identify improvement activities.
• Perform or assist in Gauge R&R studies of mechanical instruments and assembly equipment.
• Create and train associates on Quality Alerts as necessary.
• Assist in the maintenance of IATF16949 and ISO9001.
• Assist/Oversee installation and startup of new processes and equipment.
• Assist in program pilot runs.
• Perform process audits and take appropriate corrective action/follow up.
• Lead corrective action utilizing hands-on problem-solving tools such as A3 or 8D.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent years of experience on the job.
• 2 to 3 years Quality Engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Experience and competency in quality planning including proficiency with the AIAG core tools (Advanced Quality Planning and Control Plans, FMEAs, PPAPs, MSA and Statistical Process Control (SPC) standards).
• Possess working knowledge of automotive or industrial manufacturing including flow, layout, assembly, and production equipment.
• Experience working with statistical analysis, PFMEA, and PPAP.
• Proactive approach to identifying and avoiding problems at an early stage.
• Demonstrates professionalism when dealing with external customers and internal staff.
• Working knowledge of IATF16949 preferred. Auditing experience a plus.
• Team leader/player-Should exhibit good judgement, initiative and ability to work independently.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and Outlook), statistical process control (SPC) software, and Enterprise Resource Planning software [PLEX].
• Hands-on lean manufacturing or project management desired.
• American Society for Quality certification, such as current CQE status, desired.
