IT Support Specialist
Position Summary
We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support for our manufacturing and corporate environment. This position will support end users, hardware, software, networks, Microsoft 365, Plex ERP, telecommunications, and IT security. The ideal candidate is a strong troubleshooter with excellent communication skills who can work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day IT and help desk support for computers, printers, network devices, peripherals, and Plex ERP workstations.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and user-access issues and coordinate escalations as needed.
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and replace computers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Active Directory, including user accounts, licenses, permissions, Outlook, and Teams.
- Support network and security technologies, including Wi-Fi, endpoint protection, encryption, access controls, and threat-removal procedures.
- Install, configure, patch, and maintain approved software and applications.
- Support Mitel VoIP/voicemail and company Verizon Wireless devices and services.
- Maintain hardware/software inventories and assist with licensing and security audits.
- Provide technical assistance and training to employees.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software purchases, repairs, and maintenance.
- Support IT projects, system upgrades, and other technology initiatives as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, computer hardware, and end-user support.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, SASE, endpoint security, and RMM tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to support nontechnical users.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple requests, and handle confidential information appropriately.
- Manufacturing IT and Plex ERP experience preferred.
Work Requirements
- Primarily on-site, with periodic hybrid work based on business needs and management approval.
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
