This position resides in our Industrial and Commercial project delivery team; focused on large-scale industrial (water, wastewater, & warehouses) and commercial high-rise buildings.
About the Position
The Project Manager is responsible for the daily management, supervision, coordination and successful completion of construction projects. This includes optimizing time and cost objectives with respect to contracting, scheduling, estimating / bidding, and contract administration functions. The project manager shall have the sole project responsibility from project conception through completion.
How You’ll Make a Difference
- Serve as the main point of contact for the Customer, Engineer, and Architect
- Lead project set-up activities (contract review, estimate turnover, entry into project software, action plans, creation of schedule of values, billings, project schedule, etc.)
- Lead Estimating and Field Supervision teams to identify and implement all contract deliverables, quality testing, and reporting requirements.
- Lead coordination of subcontractors
- Lead coordination of all aspects of the project
- Responsible for obtaining permits and licenses and managing jobsite mobilization.
- Develop and administer subcontracts (payments, insurance, bond, safety, etc.) and purchase orders for various trades. Includes managing and administering change orders.
- Lead responsibility for project quality control
- Conduct safety surveys with project team and with state, city, or other local officials.
- Prioritize, review, expedite submittals and material deliveries according to project schedule requirements.
- Work with Superintendents to maintain accurate labor forecast.
- Review projections, safety documents, and project schedules on a regular basis
- Review and approve material / equipment invoices according to project budget.
- Manage and oversee job close-out documentation and procedures (closeout documents, final reports, and final accounting)
- Work with field management to generate job specific safety plans for the project.
