Senior Electrical Estimator

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates by reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents, ensuring compliance with electrical building codes and NFPA 70 standards.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and other industry tools to develop accurate project budgets, material costs, and labor estimates.
• Analyze electrical schematic drawings and blueprints to determine scope of work, material requirements, and installation methods.
• Conduct thorough review of construction drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks early in the project lifecycle.
• Manage bid proposals by negotiating with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Oversee cost management and control throughout the estimating process, ensuring alignment with project budgets and client expectations.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, construction management teams, and clients to communicate estimates clearly and address any scope or contract modifications effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of electrical systems, building codes, and NFPA 70 compliance.
• Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools for construction drawing review and cost analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications accurately.
• Solid background in construction site experience combined with construction management knowledge for effective project planning and execution.
• Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing while maintaining quality standards across materials and subcontractor services.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Effective client communication skills to present estimates clearly and respond professionally to inquiries or scope changes.

Pay: $82,323.46 - $99,142.23 per year
