BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups of severely handicapped students in a classroom; monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; assist students in developing various self-help, social and community skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and some experience working with children or individuals with disabilities. Must be at least 18 years of age CERTIFICATE: This position requires the SCOE Para Proficiency Test certificate or other qualifying document: NCLB/ESSA certificate, CBEST, or transcripts showing 48 college units or date AA Degree or higher degree was awarded. ATTACH A COPY TO YOUR APPLICATION.
The following are NOT required at the time of application but will be required if offered employment: *Department of Justice Fingerprint clearance *Tuberculosis Clearance *Drug Screen clearance *Original signed Social Security Card with current name on it (for payroll purposes *Picture ID
