This position leads and manages a comprehensive student services program, providing strategic direction for holistic career and professional development initiatives within BioSci Careers. The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating innovative, evidence-based programming (virtual and in-person); interpreting and enforcing academic and university policies; and overseeing budgets, reporting systems, and technology resources.
The position serves as a subject-matter expert and primary advisor to trainees, offering coaching on complex academic, career, and personal development matters while building strong partnerships with faculty, alumni, employers, and professional organizations.
The role also drives assessment and continuous improvement through data dashboards, outcome reporting, and longitudinal impact analysis; secures funding through grants and development efforts; and leads and develops staff and peer coaches to deliver high-impact services that strengthen community, expand access, and improve career outcomes.
This position will be based on the Stanford campus and will be considered for an option of telecommuting from the Bay Area (hybrid of working 2-3 days on-site), subject to operational need.
