Duties

  • Lead the overall management of the assisted living community, ensuring smooth daily operations aligned with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including memory care and dementia-specific strategies.
  • Supervise and support staff members, including caregivers, nursing staff, and administrative personnel, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership and mentorship.
  • Coordinate medication administration in compliance with healthcare regulations and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Manage budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to maintain operational efficiency while delivering high-quality resident care.
  • Oversee compliance with state and federal regulations related to assisted living facilities, nursing home standards, and long-term care requirements.
  • Facilitate resident engagement activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being.
  • Monitor health and safety protocols rigorously to ensure a secure environment for residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other memory impairments.
  • Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, social workers, and community resources to support residents’ holistic needs.
  • Conduct regular staff training on dementia care, medication management, emergency procedures, and customer service excellence.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for care plans, incident reports, medication logs, and regulatory audits.
  • Lead efforts in marketing the community’s services to attract new residents while maintaining high satisfaction levels among current residents and their families.

Skills

  • Proven experience in assisted living management or senior care leadership with a strong background in nursing home or long-term care environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of assisted living operations management, including budgeting, staffing supervision, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with people with developmental disabilities or memory-related conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
  • Skilled in developing comprehensive care plans that address physical health, mental health, social needs, and safety considerations.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising diverse teams in group home settings or retirement homes.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging residents’ families and coordinating with healthcare professionals effectively.
  • Ability to handle medication administration responsibly while adhering to legal standards.
  • Familiarity with home & community care practices as well as home care services integration when needed.
  • Financial acumen for managing budgets efficiently without compromising quality of care.
  • Compassionate approach combined with social work insights to support residents’ emotional well-being.
  • Knowledge of dementia-specific care techniques that enhance memory care programs and improve resident outcomes.
