Flight Instruct with the Stanford Flying Club!
Palo Alto Airport [KPAO], in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA.
We are an active flying club / school looking for Certified Flight Instructors [CFIs].
Start on a Part-Time Basis, with the possibility to go full-time .
CFIs will need a Flexible Schedule. Some weekend availability is a must.
- Most Members/Students Learn to Fly in a 2-seat Cessna Skycatcher aircraft; some start out in a 4 seat Cessna-172S G1000.

- All 2-seat and 4-seat Aircraft have a 'Glass Cockpit'.
- Flight Instructors must follow a structured curriculum, using 'Web-based Integrated Flight Training' course materials, as available through the Club.
- Course Materials are similar to what is provided by Cessna-King Schools, Sporty's, etc. Parts are provided online

- Flight Instructors must be able to provide extensive Ground Instruction and Briefings on a one-on-one basis, at the KPAO Airport. No remote instruction.
- A current FAA CFI Rating, and FAA Medical Certificate are required. Preference will be given to Certified Flight Instructors with a minimum of 300 Hours TT, and prior teaching / coaching / tutoring experience.
- Instructors earn app. $50 - $60 per hour, for both ‘Dual’ and ‘Ground’ Instruction time.
- Benefits: Flexible Hours. There are no current provisions for health insurance, sick time or vacation time. Any extended time off needs to be coordinated well in advance. Reasonable Flight Instructor availability and equitable distribution of vacation time among staff and Instructors needs to be coordinated.

List prior Teaching, Instructing, Tutoring, Coaching or Presentation experience if you have any such prior experience.
You must be authorized to legally work in the USA and have a valid US Commercial Pilot License, with an FAA Certified Flight Instructor [CFI or CFII] Rating. Preference is given to candidates who live in the San Francisco Bay Area, within a reasonable commute distance from the Palo Alto. A commute time of up to 45 minutes (during most parts of the day) appears to work well for most Instructors
