StandOut Design & Marketing is a growing, full-service marketing agency built on strong relationships, clear systems, and real results. We are at a stage where growth requires strong daily leadership, structure, and ownership, not chaos or constant oversight.
We are hiring an Office & Operations Manager to become the backbone of our day-to-day operations.
This is a senior, in-office role for someone with real experience who wants long-term stability, leadership growth, and the opportunity to help run the business daily.
This position starts as a trusted right-hand to ownership and is intentionally designed to grow into full operational oversight within 6–8 months.
This role exists to:

- Grow into overseeing daily operations and leadership
You will act as the bridge between ownership, the team, and clients, ensuring communication is clear, work is moving, and expectations are consistently upheld.
Office & Operations Leadership
- Oversee daily office operations and workflow
- Ensure the office environment is organized, professional, and running smoothly
- Maintain structure, systems, and internal processes
- Enforce company policies and ensure adherence to the employee handbook
- Help team members understand, interpret, and properly apply company policies
- Address attendance, scheduling, and time tracking issues consistently and professionally
- Hold employees accountable for showing up on time, taking proper lunches, and avoiding unauthorized overtime
- Identify issues early and solve them before they escalate
Project & Workflow Management
- Coordinate projects across design, web, social, and marketing services
- Assign tasks, follow up consistently, and ensure deadlines are met
- Live inside Asana to manage tasks, priorities, and progress
- Keep internal communication clear, organized, and documented
- Bring clarity to fast-moving, multi-client workloads
Client Communication & Relationship Management
- Serve as a strategic buffer between clients and ownership
- Handle day-to-day client communication professionally and confidently
- Manage expectations, timelines, and follow-ups
- Resolve most client issues independently and escalate when appropriate
- Build strong, long-term client relationships rooted in trust and clarity
Marketing & Social Media Oversight
- Coordinate social media planning and execution
- Ensure brand consistency and timely posting
- Communicate with internal team members responsible for content and design
- Understand marketing strategy well enough to speak confidently with clients
- Facebook Ads understanding is a strong plus, including campaign intent and performance basics
Team Leadership & Culture
- Provide structure and leadership without micromanaging
- Be calm, direct, and steady under pressure
- Support onboarding, training, and accountability as the team grows
- Help maintain a cohesive, professional office environment
- Reinforce company expectations in a fair, consistent, and respectful manner
Growth Path
- Start with limited authority while learning systems and workflows
- Gain increased decision-making power as trust is earned
- Grow into full daily operational oversight within 6–8 months
- This role is being developed into an Operations Lead / General Manager–level position
Required Experience & Qualifications
This is not an entry-level role. Having a college degree is NOT required.
You must have:
- Agency experience in marketing, design, advertising, or web
- Strong client-facing experience handling timelines, expectations, and difficult conversations
- Operations or project management experience
- Working knowledge of marketing, websites, social media, and branding
- Prior people management or leadership experience
- Strong social media experience
- Comfort enforcing policies and holding others accountable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Calm, confident decision-making under pressure
Tools You’ll Use Daily
- Asana for task and project management (non-negotiable)
- Email (Google Workspace) for heavy daily communication
- ChatGPT, Gemini, and other AI-driven tools to support planning, communication, and efficiency
- Social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Facebook Ads understanding is a strong plus
- Basic awareness of QuickBooks is helpful but not required
