The Financial Analyst I will split their time between managing the company’s forecast model & project-based work. This includes developing & distributing reports, analyzing market data, improving and/or automating processes, & analyzing margin enhancement opportunities.
Key Performance Areas (Essential Functions Of The Position)
- Maintain & continue to develop quarterly rolling forecast process & 5-year company plan.
- Lead forecasting process & assist managers with forecasting.
- Coordinate with various teams to gather and explain data from multiple sources to formulate forecasts.
- Design new metrics and prepare reports to monitor forecast accurately.
- Evaluate all sales and forecast patterns.
- Develop & upgrade modeling techniques to improve forecast projections for assigned processes.
- Stay current on market trends and competitive activity.
- Utilize Power BI and Vena to create reports as assigned.
- Maintain Power BI datasets & build new ones if necessary.
- Identify & improve company processes.
- Pull datasets and perform ad hoc reports as needed.
- Build ROI models for investment/development opportunities.
- Assist the Director of Strategic Analysis by performing other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field.
- One to five years of experience preparing analyses and forecasts.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Experience in building or working with large datasets.
- Expert Microsoft Excel skillset.
- Knowledge of SQL, DAX, VBA or HTML code is a plus.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly organized and performs well under pressure.
- Detail-minded with excellent follow-up.
- Creative problem-solving skillset.
- Team player, motivator, and active participant regardless of the task.
- Typical repetitive office work- PC, telephone, and live meetings.
- May be remote.
- Able to lift 20 lbs. without issue.
