Assistant Engineer – OMS Osprey
208’ Multipurpose Vessel | United States
Standing Tide Crew Management is currently recruiting a Assistant Engineers to join the 208-foot U.S.-flagged multipurpose vessel OMS Raven. This role is ideal for an experienced, safety-focused engineer with strong engine room operations and maintenance experience who is comfortable supporting both daily vessel operations and planned maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Stand engineering watches in accordance with company procedures, Safety Management System (SMS), and applicable USCG regulations
- Operate, monitor, and maintain main propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and critical vessel equipment
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure operational reliability and regulatory compliance
- Assist the Master with engineering support for vessel operations, safety initiatives, and inspections
- Maintain accurate engineering logs, maintenance records, and regulatory documentation
- Participate in drills, mobilizations, inspections, and voyage preparation activities
- Coordinate closely with deck crew and shoreside personnel during offshore operations
Minimum Qualifications
- Chief Engineer (Limited) or Assistant Engineer (Limited) with DDE (1,000–4,000 HP) endorsements appropriate for ocean service
- Valid U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC)
- Valid U.S. Passport
- STCW endorsements preferred
- Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings
- Strong mechanical aptitude, reliability, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
