Duties
- Patrol school premises regularly to monitor for security breaches, suspicious activity, or safety hazards.
- Enforce school policies and local laws related to student conduct, trespassing, and safety regulations.
- Conduct investigations into incidents such as theft, vandalism, or bullying, utilizing criminal investigation techniques.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, including medical incidents requiring CPR or first aid intervention.
- Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement conflict management strategies and safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed reports of incidents, investigations, and daily activities through clear report writing.
- Provide surveillance during school events or activities to ensure safety and prevent loss prevention issues.
- Assist with animal handling or care if needed on school grounds involving animals or pets.
Qualifications
- Valid law enforcement certification or experience in security or police work; military background is a plus. ACT 120
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage conflicts effectively.
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
- Experience in criminal investigation techniques and report writing.
- Strong driving record with the ability to operate patrol vehicles safely.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems, security protocols, and loss prevention strategies.
- Ability to handle animals responsibly when required; knowledge of animal care is advantageous.
- Understanding of immigration law as it pertains to student populations is beneficial.
