Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter / Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from framing and trim carpentry to restoration and remodeling. As a key member of our crew, you will need experience and be comfortable with framing new builds, additions, decks, etc, as well as remodels, kitchens and baths. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new skills while maintaining a strong safety mindset. This paid position provides valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry, supporting both residential and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in framing, drywall installation, and trim carpentry using hand tools and power tools to ensure accurate and high-quality work.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to interpret project requirements effectively.
- Perform small concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and roofing tasks as needed for various construction projects.
- Install fixtures such as doors, cabinets, siding, molding, and other building components following specifications.
- Conduct restoration work including water damage remediation, plastering, and stucco application.
- Support site preparation activities like heavy lifting, foundation preparations, laying block joist supports, and assembly tasks on construction sites.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment.
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites with knowledge of construction estimating is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with carpentry disciplines such as trim carpentry, frame carpentry, cabinetry installation, door hanging, flooring installation, tile laying, or electrical experience is highly valued.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, plumbing systems, electrical wiring, masonry techniques, or roofing is advantageous.
- Experience in restoration industries including water damage restoration or mold remediation enhances your suitability for this role.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while working on various projects is essential.
