As a Laboratory Technician, you’ll provide technical support to quality and process control, environmental monitoring, and process development.
What you’ll do:
Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and apparatus; prepares solutions, reagents and sample formulations.
Compiles, records and interprets experimental or analytical results.
Provides chemical technical support for waste water treatment.
Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
Carries out other duties as assigned.
Prepares process control specimens for production personnel per Laboratory Standard Operations.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
1 or more years of experience in operating specialized equipment, including microscopes, spectrometers and hardness testers
1 or more experience in performing failure analysis and material characterization.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of laboratory software.
Prior or current testing experience in a manufacturing laboratory environment
Prior or current CCL (Central Coating Laboratory ) specialized training or certification.
Willingness to learn and be receptive to continuous improvement through OJT and external educational opportunities.
Good organizational, analytical, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
