As the Master Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the master production schedule to ensure alignment with customer demand, production capacity, and inventory objectives. This role plays a critical part in supporting on-time delivery, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring compliance with aerospace quality and regulatory requirements .
What You’ll Do
- Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory targets
- Collaborate with production, engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure schedule feasibility and execution
- Analyze capacity constraints and adjust schedules to optimize throughput and minimize delays
- Monitor production performance and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts or disruptions
- Ensure alignment with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
- Maintain accurate data within ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Coordinate material availability with procurement and supply chain teams
- Track and report key metrics such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory levels
- Lead weekly scheduling meetings and communicate priorities across departments
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, scheduling, and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, FAA requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment
- Aerospace or highly regulated industry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of MRP/MPS systems and production planning principles
- Experience with ERP systems
- Knowledge of capacity planning, demand forecasting, and inventory control
- Ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
