Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages and materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts for moving stock within the warehouse.
- Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock efficiently.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety.
- Assist in fabricating packaging materials as needed for product shipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred, with knowledge of warehouse management systems being a plus.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment, including forklifts, safely and efficiently.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Must be physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing stock and inventory.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
