What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gas Electric UG Service Install WF position at Standard Utility Construction?
Job Description: Responsible for directing crew to complete tasks as required to perform underground gas and electric service installation and repair projects to meet scheduled timelines. Responsible for ensuring safety rules are followed by crew at all times. Responsible for the safe operation of excavation equipment on the jobsite. Properly completes all associated documentation (production records, videos, JSAs, work tickets, etc.)related to service and company requirements. Responsibilities will also include working on underground services/secondary lines and associated equipment up to 600 volts unsupervised. Position is 5 day work week, 40-50 hours and on call as needed. May be required to work weekends, evenings and holidays. May be required to work long and unpredictable hours.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work at least 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to ascend and descend 2 consecutive trailer or mini sky track steps with initial step heights as high as 22 inches from the floor, up to 3 times per hour (a single hold height is available above 45 inches).
- Must be able to manipulate excavator, mini sky track, or forklift bilateral controls, requiring 3 lbs. of force at a rate as high as 30 times per minute for up to 2 hours continuously for a total of up to 6 hours.
- Must be able to walk a distance up to 150 feet of uneven ground up to 2 hours continuously for a total of up to 6 hours.
- Must be able to assume a static kneeling, squatting, or forward bent posture to work at a distance of 0 inches from the ground for up to 1 minute to construct electrical line or open transformer lid locks, up to 6 times per hour.
- Must be able to maintain a valid DOT Medical Card or obtain waiver.
- Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather.
