Duties
- Operate various machinery including CNC machines, sewing machines, and woodworking power tools to produce textile components and finished products
- Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, metal fabrication, and assembly tasks with precision and safety adherence
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of textile products
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of materials safely while maintaining an organized workspace
- Measure materials accurately using tape measures, calipers, and other measurement tools to ensure quality standards are met
- Follow safety protocols rigorously during all phases of production to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment
- Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery such as sewing machines, CNC equipment, and fabrication tools to minimize downtime
Skills
- Proficiency in machine operation including CNC machining, sewing machines, and woodworking power tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to fabrication, machining, and construction processes
- Experience with sewing, garment construction, millwork, or heavy-duty assembly is highly desirable
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and technical specifications accurately
- Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments including power tool safety and proper handling of heavy equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures including inventory management and organization skills
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control checks
- Hands-on experience with hand tools for woodworking and fabricating components for textiles or construction projects
