Description
Mid-level plant worker. Primary responsibilities include stacking bags, day-to-day housekeeping, filling customer orders, plant maintenance, operation of loader, dryer, and palletizer. Also loads flatbed trucks and operates scale house.
Job Duties:
- Perform a variety of plant functions including filling orders, stacking products, and general plant maintenance
- Operate equipment in a safe manner
- Operate bagging machine
- Stretch wraps orders as required by customer
- Operate forklift to move and arrange stock and load flatbed trucks
- Load trucks as directed from bins
- Maintain warehouse in a safe, clean, and orderly condition
- Operate loader to move product and/or load trucks
- Operate dryer and maintain screen room
- Manage transfer of sand to bins
- Load hopper for dryer
- Handles incoming bulk loads of plant feed
- Operate scale house equipment to weight out loaded trucks
- Operate palletizer
- Provide information and assistance to plant manager as necessary
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 lb. bags continuously throughout the day
- Must also be able to lift 100 lbs. occasionally
- Must be able to work different shifts as needed
- Must have desire to learn and be willing to undertake job responsibilities
- Must be able to understand and follow oral and written directions
- Observe and follow all safety principles and practices
- Must be able to work well with others
Shifts: Night- 1:00am-9:00am
Day Shift - 7:00am-3:00pm
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience
- Good physical condition
- Valid Florida Driver's License and high school GED or equivalent is desirable, but not required
