THE POSITION
The Analyst is responsible for a wide range of tasks/responsibilities including but not limited to; downloading and summarizing offering memorandums and related deal offering materials, including rent rolls, rent comparables and historical income statements; third party coordination including summarizing, organizing and disseminating due diligence reports, responding to lender and investor due diligence requests and assisting with state, federal or other agency/lender submission packages; assisting with construction funding procedures
What You Can Expect to Do
Financial Analysis:
Provide support for financial analysis and underwriting of potential acquisition and development opportunities utilizing Excel.
Construction Funding Process:
Track capital expenditures and life of construction projects as it pertains to lender and investor funding requirements. Use Excel and other platforms to maintain records and reconcile sources & uses information required by lenders and investors. Manage requests for documentation and coordinate with all parties involved in the funding process.
Due Diligence Coordination / Transaction Execution:
Assist in due diligence, coordination of 3rd party vendors, interfacing with lenders and government agencies, preparation of closing statements etc. Assist in managing deal trackers and due diligence platforms.
What You Should Have
- Strong Excel modeling and quantitative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, presentation and analytical skills
- Ability to take ownership and commitment to follow through
- Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks under pressure
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in financial analysis – previous employment at a principal real estate, real estate development, real estate investment or commercial banking firm preferred
- Previous accounting experience a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree – Finance, Accounting, Economics or Real Estate Concentration is a plus
- High Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
