What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Clerk position at Standard Motor Products and Careers?

REPORTS TO:
Inventory Control Supervisor
SCOPE OF POSITION:
Support Shawnee inventory team by cycle counting with less than .5 % error factor through timely analysis and maintenance of inbound and outbound active inventory. To aid in research all inter-company transactions to assure maximum customer fill levels of our product.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1. Physically count inventory, verify system information, reconcile discrepancies and submit for approvals when necessary.
2. Assist in researching stock location issues that are discovered in the warehouse.
3. Use an RF gun to count and perform tasks during counts.
4. Work negative listing report and correct inventory.
5. Needs to be physically capable of pulling and lifting 60 lbs.
6. Communicate with other departments to accomplish tasks.
7. Be aware of all safety rules and regulations and report any unsafe situations.
8. Be licensed to operate an Order Picker / Cherry Picker.
9. Good attendance is a must!
10. Special project work or other duties as assigned.
11. Train on Order Dropping and provide assistance, when needed, in the order dropping functions.
12. Work with our TMS software to determine freight carriers.
