Job Title: Machine Operator
FLSA Status: Hourly

SUMMARY: Machine Operator sets up and operates the machines including assembly and disassembly of the equipment used in the production of the company's product. Responsible for measuring and checking raw materials, feeding materials for processing, and adjusting settings. Operators must follow all company policies and safety procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:
- Be on the workstation ready to work and on time.
- Good attendance is a must and flexible to working overtime and weekends as required.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work area in compliance with GMP and safety policies.
- Set up and program Grinder equipment (including component identification)
- Unload product from combo or boxes
- Debagging product
- Proper use of the debagging utensils (knife or safety blade)
- Weigh product
- Proper use of the floor scale (verify scale for accuracy daily)
- Load product into the Grinder hopper according to the customer specifications
- Must be able to accurately identify all raw materials used in the grinding process
- Must be able to read and interpret work instructions.
- Check for foreign objects, for example, pieces of glove, metal, wood etc.
- Report equipment issues to the supervisor immediately
- Disassemble equipment at the end of the day.
- Follow the safety procedures (LOTO).
- Ability to prepare machine for Sanitation.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school education or up to one month related experience or training

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and extreme cold temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
