Job Summary
Under the direction of the facilities and transportation director, and in association with the lead bus driver, drives a school bus over designated routes for the purpose of transporting students to and from school and/or school related activities; maintains student discipline on the bus; submits daily reports as required; cleans and washes buses; monitors fluids and lubricants on buses; and makes minor repairs. Performs district maintenance and operation duties as designated by supervisor.

Requirements / Qualifications License or Certificate Requirement: • Possession of an appropriate, valid California driver's license and a valid School Bus Operator's Certificate. Experience Requirement: • Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: • Experience: One year of increasingly responsible bus driving experience. • Training: Formal or informal training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance. Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice as well as a physical clearance are conditions of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met.
