SCI Trucking Enterprises, LLC - CDL Class A truck driver's main duty is to safely operate combination vehicles (tractor-trailer & semi-trailers) and efficiently transport goods or materials, which involves operating the vehicle, securing cargo, planning routes, conducting pre-trip inspections, maintaining detailed logs, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations. Key responsibilities also include communicating with coworkers, handling delivery paperwork, performing basic vehicle maintenance, and demonstrating strong time-management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Must strictly adhere to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
- Must adhere strictly to all traffic laws, hours-of-service regulations, and other federal and company policies, such as safety and drug testing protocols.
- Proficiency in safely operating large, long vehicles, with exceptional anticipation and awareness of surroundings.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently and meet schedules.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with colleagues, coworkers, and customers.
- Performs daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.) and inspects vehicle to ensure the mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Operates forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload trucks.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including driver logs, mileage, delivery receipts, and manifests, in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Be proactive in all areas of safety; recognize and report potential safety issues and hazards.
- A valid Class A CDL is required.
- Certifications/endorsements preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience is required.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, climb in and out of the vehicle, and lift and move heavy objects.
- Must be able to push/pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs., but may occasionally push/pull, lift, or carry up to 100 lbs.
- Subject to repetitive use of hands/arms, and legs
- Hand/eye coordination, depth perception important
- Must be able to communicate (hear, comprehend, and speak) to safely perform work.
- Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces, muddy conditions, loose rock, loose/soft sand, etc.
- Will be exposed to adverse weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
