AVP, Market Trade Control

Job Summary

As a member of a 35 person team, oversee Control governance, Data, and Reporting across the function, ensuring a robust Control framework to effectively manage Financial Market (Derivative) business risks. Collaborate with Trade Control sub-functions, including Trade Validation, Exceptions Management, and Front Office Supervision Control, to implement the Trade Control strategy and drive progress on the Data roadmap. This role will provide support for Asia Markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Trade Controls effectiveness check and KPI submission in Group Risk system. Collaborate with Central Risk team to ensure timely completion of CST checks.
• Ensure function is Audit ready, RCSA framework up-to-date and Open Risk actions tracked till closure.
• Manage audit sampling requests across Trade Control functions, perform adequate due diligence prior audit submissions.
• Represent on calls and reviews requiring New Business enablement to deliver strategic FM initiatives and ensure Operational readiness across Trade Controls
• Define and work on the execution of Data analytics roadmap for Trade Control. This covers range of data requirement material to provide Business insights and support Risk management.
• Build strong relationship with internal teams across Ops, Finance, Risk and Technology to facilitate efficient Collaboration and speedy resolution of issues
• Drive continuous improvement and innovate to improve the Control delivery across the function.
• Partner with Technology to deliver Transformation
• Work with Business COO to identify Booking model improvements and drive efficiency
• Achieve Regulatory and Conduct Compliance and future proof the Trade Control & Supervision model through a strong governance of Controls, anticipation of upcoming regulations and new Control build.
• Adherence to Ops Risk Framework standards and conduct Risk Control Self Assessment attestation.
• Oversight of Daily & Monthly Capacity metrics and maintain up-to-date Catalogue of Services Inventory.
  

Skills And Experience

• At least eight years of experience in banking operations, including market control, trade validation, governance and reporting
• Proven track record in managing senior stakeholders and serving as a strategic partner in market control
• OTC Products: FX, FX Options, Interest Rate Swaps, Commodities, Credit Derivatives, Equity Derivatives, Money Market and ESG products.
• Electronic executions across Markitwire, RTNS, Bloomberg, ICE Link etc
