What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Standard Chair of Gardner?
Standard Chair of Gardner is looking for a dependable, hard working, focused individual to fill the position of Material Handler. The candidate must be reliable and have a solid work history. A positive attitude is a must. The employee will spend the majority of their shift on their feet. It is required to work safely, efficiently and adhere to all company policies, procedures and work standards.
Job requirements:
- Equipment Operation – Using forklifts and other equipment to load and unload materials. (A valid 1D hoisting license is requires to operate. The company will pay for this license after probationary period is completed and performance is satisfactory.)
- Storing and Moving materials – Handling, moving and storing hazardous and non-hazardous materials. (Done by hand and/or with a manual pallet jack, unless the individual has a valid electric pallet jack license.)
- Inventory Management – Monitoring inventory levels, documenting deliveries and ensuring accurate records. The employee will be responsible for transporting received product to the proper location.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 35 pounds.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Support all warehouse and production staff to ensure smooth operations.
