Duties

• Diagnose and repair printer, copier, and multifunction device malfunctions, including hardware failures and software glitches
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and preventive servicing on various field service equipment to maximize uptime
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to electro-mechanical components, electrical systems, and computer hardware using schematics and diagnostic tools
• Support customers with technical troubleshooting support via on-site visits or remote assistance, ensuring quick resolution of issues
• Use hand tools and specialized equipment to perform mechanical repairs on complex office devices
• Maintain detailed service records, including repair logs, maintenance schedules, and parts used for each job
• Collaborate with team members to improve service procedures and share technical knowledge for ongoing skill development

Experience

• Proven experience as a service technician specializing in printer and copier repair or similar field service roles
• Strong knowledge of hardware diagnostics, electrical systems, electro-mechanical components, and computer networking fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) of office equipment in a customer-facing environment
• Familiarity with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and troubleshooting guides for various brands of printers and copiers
• Ability to interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals accurately
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a focus on technical support for office equipment users
• Mechanical aptitude combined with electrical experience to diagnose issues quickly and effectively
