Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional guest service, address guest needs, and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of all menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
- Stay informed about daily specials and promotional items.
- Possess basic knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits (if applicable to the restaurant type).
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding orders, timing, and special requests.
- Assist bussers and other team members with their duties as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Confidently make recommendations and upsell appropriate items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations, and dining areas.
- Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service to encourage repeat business.
Qualifications:
- Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a high volume environment and handle multiple tables simultaneously.
- Outgoing, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
