Warranty Litigation Counsel

STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more including internationally in Mexico and India.

This role is responsible for managing a national portfolio of warranty litigation and supporting legal matters from case development through resolution. The position serves as a corporate representative in legal proceedings, including trials, mediations, arbitration hearings, and depositions. This exempt contract role requires strong litigation management, legal research, settlement negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Work Type: Hybrid, 2-3 days per week onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Manage large portfolio of warranty litigation, including working with outside counsel through the length of the case, aiding in reviewing pleadings, motions, discovery responses, helping develop effective defense strategies, and negotiating with opposing counsel.
• Ability to aggregate cost data to create cost effective strategies for litigation management.
• Collaborate with dealerships to complete final repair attempts, obtain necessary information and documentation to evaluate and resolve breach of warranty matters
• Represent the organization in litigation: in court, mediation, depositions and trials throughout the United States

Qualifications
Required:

• JD from an accredited law school, Barred in at least one state
• 5 of litigation experience, preferably in warranty matters
• Substantive legal knowledge and understanding of warranty and lemon laws
• Ability to handle case from start to finish, including managing strategy
• Proficient in legal research

Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $62.12 - $72.12 / per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
