Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mid-level Staff Accountant to support financial operations and ensure accurate reporting during a period of high organizational growth. This role will focus on core accounting functions such as reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities while maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will bring experience in subscription-based revenue environments and contribute to improving financial processes and reporting accuracy. This position plays a critical role in supporting financial transparency and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Manage subscription revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 (SaaS -specific)
• Prepare journal entries and complete balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain general ledger integrity, including account and invoice reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and maintain audit-ready documentation and processes
• Assist with external audits and support regulatory reporting requirements
• Provide support for annual financial statement audits, ad hoc analyses, and revenue-related projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience: 2-4 years of accounting experience, ideally in SaaS or technology.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and subscription management tools (e.g., Stripe, Chargebee).
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, specifically ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
• Attributes: High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Additional Details
The base salary range for this position is $65K - $80K annually, depending on experience.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
