Pay: $28–$32/hour (Based on Experience)
Shift: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Potential Saturdays; hours may vary depending on workload)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our team in Tulsa, OK. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of welded structures through thorough inspections and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of welds for compliance with applicable codes (e.g., AWS, ASME, API) and project specifications
• Verify proper welding procedures, materials, and techniques are used
• Review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ)
• Conduct weld inspections using NDT methods such as magnetic particle, dye penetrant, ultrasonic, or radiographic testing
• Document inspection results, issue non-conformance reports, and ensure corrective actions are taken
• Collaborate with welders, supervisors, engineers, and clients to resolve welding-related issues
• Maintain inspection records, reports, and compliance documentation
• Monitor and enforce safety and quality standards on job sites and within the fabrication shop

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of welding inspection experience in industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of welding codes, metallurgy, and NDT techniques
• Proficient in reading blueprints, welding symbols, and technical specifications
• Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspection tasks effectively

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to maneuver within shop and yard assembly environments
• Frequent walking, standing, climbing ladders and scaffolding, crouching, twisting, and stooping required
