At Stancil Services, excellence is built from the ground up — and as a Superintendent 2 in our Commercial Division, you will serve as a trusted field leader ensuring our projects are executed with precision, craftsmanship, and accountability. This is a full-time role based out of Charlotte, NC.
This position will begin with a 5–6 month commercial project in Charleston, SC starting in February 2026. We are seeking candidates already in Charleston who may be open to relocating to Charlotte afterward, as well as Charlotte-based candidates who are willing to temporarily relocate to Charleston for this project.
You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations, managing subcontractors, driving safety and quality expectations, and serving as a strong on-site representative of the Stancil brand.
This is a mid-level Superintendent role for individuals experienced in independently managing projects but not yet responsible for mentoring other Superintendents or overseeing multiple concurrent jobs.
Essential Job Functions
- Project Leadership and Execution

Oversee all field operations from mobilization through close-out, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

Conduct daily site walks to verify production progress, safety compliance, and quality assurance.

Manage site logistics, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities.

Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to forecast needs, track milestones, and monitor costs.

Safety and Quality Assurance

Enforce Stancil’s safety program and OSHA standards; lead daily and weekly safety meetings.

Maintain an organized, clean, and hazard-free site reflective of company professionalism.

Proactively identify safety or quality risks and escalate issues with recommended solutions.

Ensure all completed work meets Stancil’s craftsmanship standards and contractual specifications.

Communication and Close-Out

Act as the primary on-site contact for builders, clients, inspectors, and field representatives.

Lead weekly coordination meetings to address scheduling, trade sequencing, and scope alignment.

Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, toolbox talks, and site photos.

Manage project close-out tasks including punch lists, inspections, and subcontractor sign-offs.

Foster effective collaboration across office, field teams, and trade partners.

Qualifications
Education, Experience, and Training

Minimum 3 years of construction site supervision; experience on large commercial or multi-family projects preferred.

Strong technical knowledge of paint and drywall trades.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent field experience.

Proficient in Procore and Bluebeam.

OSHA-certified with a proactive, safety-first mindset.

Valid driver’s license and insurable under company policy.

Willingness to travel and work out-of-town for extended periods of time as required

Working Environment and Conditions
- Position is primarily field-based and requires regular presence on active construction sites.
- Frequently walk multi-story buildings, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Maintain excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Work both independently and collaboratively with clients, subcontractors, and Stancil teams.
- Ensure every project meets Stancil’s standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Tools and Equipment
- Use of computer, smartphone, CRM platforms, forecasting software, Microsoft Office Suite, and presentation tools is required.
- Familiarity with field-base project-management technology is expected.
