Essential Job Functions
- Prepare and paint new residential interiors and exteriors in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Measure areas to be painted and determine the required quantities and types of materials.
- Select and mix paint colors, primers, and finishes to meet builder and homeowner expectations.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and repairing drywall or other substrates as needed.
- Protect floors, fixtures, trim, and other surfaces by masking, taping, or covering appropriately.
- Apply paint and coatings using brushes, rollers, and sprayers to achieve smooth, even finishes.
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper coverage, uniform appearance, and compliance with Stancil Services standards.
- Perform drywall touch-ups and minor surface repairs prior to and during painting as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Follow all safety procedures related to chemical handling, waste disposal, and equipment use.
- Coordinate with field supervisors, drywall crews, and other trades to meet project timelines.
- Other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship program, prior painting experience, or equivalent on-the-job training required.
- Experience in new-construction residential painting and drywall finishing preferred.
- OSHA-30 certification preferred.
- Motivated team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and support continuous improvement within a growing company.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality workmanship that reflects attention to detail and pride in craft.
- Demonstrate professionalism and reliability when interacting with supervisors, builders, and trade partners.
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy in high-volume residential environments.

- Maintain confidentiality regarding company operations and client information.
- Work is performed primarily inside new residential construction environments, with occasional exterior painting required.
- May involve exposure to fluctuating temperatures (above 90°F or below 32°F) and various weather conditions.
- Requires standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching for extended periods.
- Frequent use of hands to handle brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other tools.
- Must be able to lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Requires balance and mobility to safely climb ladders and scaffolding.
- May be exposed to noise, dust, and odors associated with painting and drywall work.
- Requires compliance with PPE and all company safety protocols.
- Typical schedule is Monday – Friday, with occasional weekends as project needs dictate.
