Assistant Territory Field Manager - Plumbing

GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

The Assistant Territory Field Manager supports the Territory Field Manager by coordinating labor, schedules, and materials to ensure plumbing projects run smoothly from start to finish.

This role helps manage labor allocation, job readiness, access to tools and materials, and communication between the field and management. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, time management, clear communication, and an ability to work independently to support field operations and project efficiency.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Territory Field Manager in guiding and developing field personnel and coordinating labor resources. 
• Assist in training field employees and support daily performance expectations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

• Project Execution & Field Support o Assist in managing daily functions for each plumbing phase, including slab, rough, and trim. 
  • Coordinate labor scheduling and ensure teams follow appropriate timelines. 
  • Confirm job readiness and support access to required materials and equipment. 
  • Drive material efficiency and waste-reduction efforts. 
  • Conduct drop test, pre-walks, check tests and assisting TFMs when needed 
  • Proactively notify the Territory Field Manager (TFM) of jobsite issues 
• Communication & Coordination 
  • Communicate field updates to labor teams and internal stakeholders as needed. 
  • Support relationships with construction managers for national builders within assigned communities. 
• Training & Operational Support 
  • Train field personnel and support ongoing workforce development. 
  • Support technology implementation across field operations. 
  • Support fleet management efforts and driver eligibility compliance. 
• Other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED, college, trade school, or foreign equivalent accepted).
• Ability to pass a physical examination and qualify for a medical card. 
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. 
• Valid driver’s license for 3 years and insurable on company policy (required). 
• Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus but not required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS 

• Outdoor-based role with frequent travel to field sites and active job locations.
• Frequent use of hands to handle tools or equipment and regular standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. 
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in variable weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, and all-weather exposure). 
• Must be able to climb steps and navigate job sites safely.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT 

• Mobile technology, field tools, and equipment as required for job duties. 
• Standard communication and project-tracking tools (tablet, phone, software platforms).
