What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operational Excellence Leader position at Stanadyne LLC?
The role of the Operational Excellence Leader is to develop the site according to the Stanadyne Production System processes and methodologies. Develop and execute the local lean roadmap, enhance operational efficiency and improve productivity throughout the site to meet and exceed Stanadyne Strategic Deployment goals.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for local lean roadmap and implementation· Engages with the plant manager in the design and implementation of tools and principles of continuous improvement (Kaizen, LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.)· Establishes & promotes Stanadyne Production System within site.
- Leads weekly kaizen reviews. Prepares, plans and promotes changes in the area of lean production.
- Supervises compliance with introduced changes. Monitors process performance and setting standards.
- Analyzes existing production processes in order to increase the efficiency and productivity of their site.
- Constantly works to optimize processes. Looks for opportunities for the overall improvement of the company.
- Develops cooperation with the production, quality, planning department so that there is effective cooperation on joint projects.
- Participates in the cooperation of internal, PCA and 6S audits and ensures their compliance in the company's premises.
- Participates in the creation of documentation and visualization for the company.
- Implements methods and procedures to eliminate waste. Participates in corrective and preventive measures.
- Develops / trains Lean facilitators engaging in the improvement process. Conducts training modules related to Lean, 5S, audits.
- Verifies the accuracy of data in the area of standards and cycle times in the company's IT systems
Required Technical Skills:
- Lean Manufacturing Principles (Lean Production System, 6S, Kaizen Breakthrough Methodology, Pull System, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping and Root Cause Analysis (PDCA)
- Lean Certification
- Experience with APQP
- Plant Layout Experience (CAD Proficient)
Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of experience
