Duties
- Safely operate the ice cream truck along designated routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Manage daily merchandising by stocking and organizing products for optimal display and accessibility
- Engage with customers in a friendly, energetic manner, providing excellent customer service and upselling popular items
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including pricing adjustments and receipt issuance
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning of all equipment and perform heavy lifting when restocking supplies
- Maintain organized route logs, sales records, and inventory counts for efficient operations
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding route updates, sales goals, and customer feedback
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong math skills for handling transactions and pricing calculations
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
- Proven experience in commercial driving or route delivery roles; military driving experience is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when loading or unloading supplies and merchandise
- Organizational skills to manage schedules, inventory, and route planning efficiently
- Prior experience in sales or upselling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities
