THE GROWTH YOU HELP PROVIDE AS A REFRIGERATION - BUILDING SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN
As our Refrigeration - Building Systems Technician, you'll be the expert overseeing our complex ammonia refrigeration and building systems. This includes meticulous inspections, proactive preventative maintenance, skilled troubleshooting and repairs of valves, pumps, compressors, and electrical systems, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards. You'll manage PSM programs, coordinate contractors, and respond to on-call emergencies, all while maintaining precise system monitoring and documentation.
OUR IDEAL REFRIGERATION - BUILDING SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN
5 years of experience operating large ammonia refrigeration systems
2 years of experience as the head technician of a large ammonia refrigeration system is
Preferred
Experience in general maintenance, plumbing, and grounds maintenance
Experience in a USDA meat processing facility
Strong understanding of ammonia system operation, installation, and repair
Knowledge of electrical distribution, motor controls, high/low voltage wiring, and programmable logic controllers
Proficiency in using tools for refrigeration and air duct work
Proficiency in using testing equipment (voltmeters, thermometers, pressure gauges, etc.)
Knowledge of Process Safety Management and preventative maintenance programs
OSHA and EPA regulations knowledge
Medical certificate and training to wear S.C.B.A. and full-face gas masks
Specific vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment
Ability to obtain and maintain a RETA Class A operator's license
Ability to regularly lift and move up to 100 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and crawl
