Summary Maintains and repairs machines by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor.
- Performs set-up, breakdown, repair, and troubleshooting for electrical and electronic food processing equipment including packaging equipment, injectors, slicers, tumblers, metal detectors and related.
- Maintains and repairs buildings' plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses.
- Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts, in machines and equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance as scheduled and documents accurately and immediately upon completion.
- Assists other maintenance workers, as needed.
- Performs other duties, as needed.

Qualifications

Must have the capacity to be trained and educated in the areas the Manager designates. One year of Maintenance experience desired.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); At least one year of related experience in a maintenance department.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
