Role Description The Yacht Broker role at Stamp Yacht Sales is a contract position in a hybrid work arrangement, Main Office is in Punta Gorda, FL with Sales offices in Panama City Fl, Cape Haze Fl , Bonita Springs Fl , Cape Coral Fl , Fort Lauderdale Fl, Key Largo Fl , with some work-from-home flexibility. The broker will prospect and qualify potential buyers and sellers, manage listings, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of available inventory and market pricing. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting client consultations, arranging and attending vessel showings, coordinating sea trials and surveys, and negotiating purchase agreements. The role also involves preparing accurate listing documentation, overseeing advertising and online marketing of vessels, and ensuring that all brokerage activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies. Successful brokers will build long-term client relationships, provide clear guidance through each stage of the buying and selling process, and collaborate closely with the owner to support business growth.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of boats and yachting, including vessel types, features, and performance characteristics.
- Experience or familiarity with the marine industry and yacht brokerage practices.
- Proven customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, build trust, and manage client expectations.
- Sales, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities, ideally in a high-value or luxury market.
- Comfort working in marinas and on vessels, including attending showings, inspections, and sea trials.
- Basic understanding of contracts, documentation, and regulatory considerations related to vessel transactions.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple clients concurrently, and handle a flexible schedule including weekends as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; familiarity with the Punta Gorda and Southwest Florida boating areas is beneficial.
- Prior experience in yacht brokerage, marine sales, or related roles is preferred but not required for highly motivated candidates willing to learn.
