Electrician

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment to identify faults swiftly.
• Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and electrical safety procedures.
• Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to strict safety protocols.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to prevent failures and ensure ongoing operational efficiency.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment effectively for installation, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects, including reading blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including inspection reports, repair logs, and compliance documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures rigorously to promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

Experience

• Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams confidently.
• Hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage systems in construction or renovation projects.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and safety regulations.
• Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
• Experience working on construction sites or during renovation projects with a focus on safety compliance.
• Ability to operate power tools efficiently while maintaining safety standards; handyman or frame carpentry experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation is desirable but not mandatory.
