Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Banquet Captain to lead our banquet service team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate banquet service staff to ensure efficient setup, service, and breakdown of events
- Collaborate with culinary teams to confirm menu details, special requests, and timing requirements
- Oversee food presentation, ensuring quality control and adherence to safety standards
- Manage inventory control for banquet supplies, linens, and equipment to prevent shortages or overstocking
- Handle POS systems such as Jonas POS for accurate billing and cash handling during events
- Train new staff members on food handling, customer service protocols, and safety procedures
- Monitor shift operations, resolve guest concerns promptly, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in banquet or catering management, or restaurant supervision with a focus on event service
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, Jonas POS preferred
- Excellent leadership skills with previous management or supervisory experience in hospitality or food service environments
- Familiarity with food safety standards, inventory control, and kitchen management practices
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting such as a quick service or fine dining restaurant
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional approach to guest interactions
- Experience with training & development of staff members and team management strategies
- Knowledge of food production, catering operations, and hospitality management principles
