General Statement:
The Executive Assistant to the Superintendent provides high-level administrative support to the Superintendent of Schools. This is a non-instructional support position focused on professional office management and executive-level administrative assistance.
The Executive Assistant to the Superintendent is a position of confidence, requiring a strong and positive working relationship with the Superintendent and extreme discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information. Exceptional administrative skills and a high degree of professional integrity are essential.
The Executive Assistant to the Superintendent provides comprehensive administrative management for the Office of the Superintendent, overseeing correspondence, complex scheduling, administrative operations, and managing the Superintendent's workflow, with the opportunity to:
- Drive special projects
- Assist in parent-related and community matters
- Interact with senior staff, members of the elected Board of Education, and persons outside the District staff, including City of Stamford leadership
The Executive Assistant to the Superintendent is expected to demonstrate professional excellence, creative problem-solving, and superior organizational leadership in all administrative and office operations.

Note: Teachers dually certified in TESOL, Bilingual Education or ESL, with experience in Sheltered Instruction or fluency in a language other than English, will be given preference for all Stamford Public School positions.
