About The Job
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the overall strategic direction, management, and operational excellence of Stak Studio's warehouse and inventory control functions. This role ensures the efficient, accurate, and timely handling of all trade show exhibits and event equipment, manages the pre-production budget, leads and develops the warehouse team, and champions a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management & Development: Directly manage and supervise the Senior Warehouse Associate and Warehouse Associates, including hiring, training, performance management, and scheduling. Foster a positive and productive team environment.
- Strategic Planning & Process Improvement: Develop and implement warehouse procedures, layout, and operational strategies to maximize efficiency and control costs. Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in inventory, logistics, and quality control processes.
- Budget & Resource Oversight: Manage the pre-production budget, control inventory discrepancies and losses, and oversee the procurement and maintenance of all material handling equipment.
- Advanced Logistics & Coordination: Oversee all complex shipping, receiving, and logistics operations, ensuring high-value shipments are handled accurately and meet critical deadlines. Serve as the primary liaison with Project Management, Finance, and Sales teams.
- Inventory Management: Establish and maintain an accurate, auditable, and efficient inventory management system. Oversee cycle count programs, lead annual physical inventories, and conduct thorough investigations into discrepancies.
- Warehouse Standards & Safety: Ensure compliance with all company safety policies (OSHA, etc.) and maintain a clean, secure, and highly organized facility. Conduct regular safety audits and training for all team members.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, budget adherence, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory control, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience within the events, trade show, or production industry is highly desirable.
- Current Forklift certification is required and pallet jack certification is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage a team, develop staff, and lead change management initiatives.
- Tech savvy with ability to learn of advanced inventory tracking/shipping software, logistics management principles, and experience managing an operational budget.
- Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, to manage critical trade show deadlines.
- Ability to travel to trade shows and events up 20% of the time.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
